We have large group of referees this year, so the number of assigned games is smaller than in previous years. I have tried to assign relatively equal numbers of games, but refs were given the following priorities: 1st, those who have done a good job reffing in the past; 2nd, those refs who are certified; 3rd, age (i.e. high school students over middle school). >Please be on time, (at least 15 min before game time) and properly equipped for your games. Be sure that you bring water and snacks. >Keep track of your gear – you’ll need to turn it back in to get your last paycheck! >Please call ASAP if you are unable to ref a game because the sooner you call, the easier it will be to switch games, rather than have you just lose a game. >If you are tardy for a game, your pay will be docked. If you are tardy twice, you will be unscheduled from your next game. If you are a no-show, you will be unscheduled from your next game. If you have two no-shows, you will removed from the schedule for the rest of the season. >Try to come early / stick around after games in case an opening comes up and be sure to check in with the board member of the day to see if there are any openings. >Make sure that you turn in your game cards every week because no game card means no pay check!
