The Clearlake Youth Soccer League (CYSL) follow the Cal North Competitive Soccer League Rules – 2022/2023 as a guideline to govern the rules of play for the CYSL Recreational League. The goal of the CYSL Rec. League and the responsibility of all Board Members, Coaches, Volunteers and participants is to promote the sport of soccer through participation, good sportsmanship and positive development.
To help achieve this goal and the development of soccer among the youth of the community, the 2023 CYSL Board of Directors has implemented a new Minimum Game Play Time Rule/Requirement.
The Minimum Game Play Time Rule/Requirement states: All players who want to play, will be given the opportunity to play a minimum of 25% of each game regardless of their skill level.
This Rule/Requirement will be implemented by Coaches and enforced by the Board of Directors.
